The concept of a tour and travel business started in the 1970s when owner Maryanke Alexander was attending Graduate School at Central Michigan University. She worked part time as a escort/tour planner at a local travel agency. Having traveled extensively with her family growing up throughout the United States and Europe, she found the travel business was a natural fit. After acquiring her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education in 1977, Maryanke devoted herself full time to tour escorting and planning.
In 1978 she incorporated and opened her own doors as Maryanke Tours, Inc.. Over the years thousands of people have traveled with Maryanke Tour & Travel all over the world. The commitment to excellence in creating travel dreams into destinations has developed a trusted relationship with so many of our travelers.
